From the East:
At our last meeting we initiated three Entered Apprentices. I want to welcome them again to the Lodge and to Fraternity. The Degree was truly a sight, and our JW Len Gottlieb did a magnificent job with the Master's work, and the R.'.W.'.Efran Rivera did a wonderfully animated Historical Lecture. John Celentano, a Fellowcraft of the Lodge, also participated in the Degree and his proficiency was right up there with Brothers who've been Master Masons for many years. Well done Brother! My personal thanks to all the Brothers of the Lodge who participated in and attended the Degree.
Our next meeting is on Thursday December 2nd. NPDs followed by the Festive Board. This is a "Summoned Communication," Brothers. Regarding the NPDs, if you are behind on your dues, pay them! You'd be surprised at some of the names on the NPD list. I know times are rough, and I know that sometimes you put the dues notice aside and forget about. Make the payment of your dues a priority! If you have a problem, please reach out to the Secretary.
Now, about the Festive Board: This is always a huge and enjoyable event for the Brothers and guests of Harry S Truman Lodge. Do I really need to remind you about the delicious food? The plentiful toasts? The entertainment? The camaraderie? The Laughs? Yelling "Lovasz"? This is going to be a fun one, Brothers, so DON'T MISS IT!
Please contact Bro. Len Gottlieb to RSVP. $25 per person.
Don't forget about the Centennial of the Grand Lodge Building on Sunday December 5th at 2pm on the 3rd Floor. It's a once in a lifetime event, and I hope to see you there.
May the Blessings of the Great Architect be upon you and your families, and may you all have a Happy Thanksgiving! (Eat all you want, but save some room for the Festive Board - Don't worry, you can always go back on your diet in January!)
Fraternally, W.'.Frank L. Parker Master, Harry S Truman Lodge #1066
| From the Chairman of the Foundation:
My Brothers, again I must plea with you to contribute to YOUR Foundation. The fiscal year ends Dec. 31 and what ever monies are collected by that time are the monies we use for our donation. Times are not the best financially right now, and I understand, but if EVERYONE contributes at least $25.00 to $50.00 we will be able to meet our obligations as Masons and continue to contribute to the Charities that YOU chose. So far this year we are behind in receipt of contributions by far over last year, which was a bad year.
Please remember the Foundation when you are planning your year end contributions. The only way we can continue to survive is if everyone give what ever they can.
Please send in your contributions to:
