FROM THE EAST
Dear Brethren:

At our last meeting, the evening of September 18, 2008, our Lodge honored two of our distinguished members: The R∴W∴Larry N. Barnard, District Deputy Grand Master of the Eighth Masonic District; and The R∴W∴Joseph E. Ruiz, Grand Director of Ceremonies of the Grand Lodge of New York.

While it is an honor for any Lodge to have one of its own chosen by The Most Worshipful Grand Master Edward Gilbert, to have chosen two from within our Lodge to assist the M∴W∴Grand Master in administering the Craft is doubly awesome.

We deeply appreciate and acknowledge the outstanding service that has been rendered to the craft by these worthy Brothers. We appreciate all the work they have done and the sacrifice of family-time and leisure that they have made on our behalf in the discharge of their duties, and beyond.

On another note, our Lodge is saddened whenever the GAOTU chooses to bring a member home, but we are especially mourn the loss of our longtime Treasurer, the R∴W∴Michael Hyman. We also lament the loss of longtime member Bro. Calvin Yules. Our condolences and prayers are extended to their family and their many friends.

Permit me also to recognize those brothers who helped make our Family Picnic such a success:

R∴W∴Marty Dashevsky; V∴W∴Michael Siegel; W∴Mike Estrada, W∴John Kelly and W∴Artie Kessler; Bros. Patrick Bahnken, Bill Bontemps, Robert Callahan, Paul Castellaneta, Matt Donovan, Bill Gambrel, Anthony Lehman, Steve Lovasz, Ed Siegel, Steve Siegel, Joe Solano, Michael O'Shaughnessy, and Steve Petrillo--and a very special thanks and appreciation to Chairman Frank Melita, who is stepping down this year, but who has coordinated many outstanding Family Picnics.

Cordially and fraternally,
W∴Jonathan Patrick

FROM THE SECRETARY'S DESK

This is my first opportunity to thank the Brethren for having given me your confidence and trust by electing me Secretary of this prestigious Lodge. I am most appreciative that R∴W∴Martin Dashevsky continues to offer our Lodge and me his years of accumulated expertise and wisdom via my frequent emails and phone calls. I will dearly miss R∴W∴Michael Hyman's advice and friendship. I look forward to working with our W∴Jonathan Patrick and all of my Brothers, to the best of my capabilities.
To update our records, dear Brothers, please email me YOUR email address and any changes in your contact information--address, phone / cell number/s-- to thjnycusa@aol.com

With fraternal affection,
Bro. Ted H. Jacobsen
