FROM THE EAST

Dear Brethren:

Our last meeting was our annual “move-up” night. The line officers moved up one chair and did the work of the evening from that location. Soon, the officers will move up permanently for the next year and I will find myself without a chair. There is a lot of talent and enthusiasm in the officer corp. and I look forward to seeing the new line assume the challenges for the next year.

Brother Anthony Pecorella did a fine job as Master and gave the Lodge an informative lecture. Brother Anthony also gave us some insight to some of his ideas for next year.

This meeting will have a short business session followed by our annual report from the Harry S Truman Foundation. I urge all Masons to attend and gain a better idea as to what your donations accomplish in the name of charity. Of all the things we accomplish as a Lodge from year to year, the Foundation stands out as the most important. As a member of Harry S Truman Lodge, you are also a member of the Foundation. If there is a particular charity that is dear to you, please write the Foundation Chairman and ask that your charity be considered for a donation.

New Master Masons: Our meeting on May 3, 2007 is set aside to complete the Master Mason Degrees that were conferred this past year. All Master Masons that were raised during the 2006/2007 year must attend this meeting to receive the complete degree. There will be a historical lecture and question and answers delivered at this meeting.

Special note: There will not be a pre-meeting dinner. May God continue to protect you and your families and grant you health and happiness. May He also protect the men and women of our armed

services and return them home soon.

I look forward to seeing you at the meeting.

With warm regards,

Brother Michael F. Estrada

SAD TIDINGS:

Bro. Len Gottliebs’ mother, Pearl, passed away. Our prayers are with Len and his mom.

R\W\ Harold Cohen is in the hospital and could use some cheering up. His number is 305-243-9354.

May her soul rest in everlasting peace.

GLAD TIDINGS:

Bro. Jorge Perez was honored as a Mason of the Year in Lux Æterna Lodge.

Harry S Truman Lodge received the Potts Award at this years’ Grand Lecturers Convention.

GRAND LECTURERS CONVENTION:

I want to thank all the Brothers who came to the Grand Lecturers Convention, March 27, 2007 at Lux Æterna Lodge. This is  R\W\James Sullivan's first year as Grand Lecturer, and I was glad Harry S Truman Lodge could give him that kind of support with a strong turnout. Harry S Truman Lodge received the Potts Award and was the only Lodge in the District to do so. Thanks.
